Dr Lori Wirth
Dr. Wirth is the Medical Director of the Center for Head and Neck Cancers at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, MA, USA, and an Associate Professor in Medicine at the Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA. Lori Wirth received her MD from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, NY, USA. She completed training at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She was on the faculty at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute prior to joining the Massachusetts General Hospital in 2008. She also holds an appointment at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Her responsibilities include coordinating and supporting the joint Massachusetts General/Massachusetts Eye and Ear research programme in thyroid and head and neck cancers. She oversees the training of young physicians in head and neck cancer in the MGH residency and fellowship programmes, and runs the Cancer Center’s head and neck multidisciplinary programme. It is the center’s mission to provide patients with the most comprehensive and state-of-the-art care available. Lori Wirth is also Co-Director of the Massachusetts General/Massachusetts Eye and Ear Advanced Thyroid Cancer Clinic.
