Professor Jae Hoon Chung
Jae Hoon Chung is a Professor and Chairman at the Department of Medicine at the Samsung Medical Center in Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. He graduated Seoul National University, College of Medicine in 1985, and got a PhD at the same university. He completed his residency of Internal Medicine & fellowship of Endocrinology at the Seoul National University Hospital (1985-1993) and served as a physician for the Korean Army (1989-1991). He worked as a research fellow at NIH in 1993 and 2000, and at Ohio University in 2001, respectively under the guidance of Dr. Leonard D. Kohn. He was chief of Division of Endocrinology & Thyroid Center at the Samsung Medical Center from 2005 to 2017 and chairperson of the Korean Thyroid Association from 2011 to 2015. He has published more than 300 peer reviewed articles and 11 literatures, and has received 13 scientific awards. His main research topic is translational & clinical research of autoimmune thyroid disease and thyroid cancer.
