Dr Elizabeth Chua is Director of Endocrinology & Metabolism Centre and Senior Staff Specialist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Endocrinologist at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse, and Clinical Associate Professor at Faculty of Medicine & Health, University of Sydney.
She is actively involved in both clinical and basic research on thyroid cancer in Australia and New Caledonia, on Graves’ Disease and thyroid disorders in pregnancy. She is a member of two Thyroid Multi-Disciplinary Teams - Thyroid Cancer MDT at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Thyroid Eye Clinic MDT at Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney.
She leads the general endocrine service at the RPA Hospital which provides a vibrant clinical service as well as a specialised dynamic testing unit which covers thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, neuro-endocrine tumours as well as endocrine-complications of various therapeutic agents used in oncology, haematology and neurology. She has supervised endocrine advanced trainees for over 10 years and co-supervises PhD, masters and honours students at the Sydney Medical School.
