Professor John Hearn
Professor John Hearn leads two networks with 40 Universities on six continents, addressing global challenges in health, education, climate, and culture. Awarded his PhD from ANU for studies of the marsupial pituitary gland in embryonic diapause, he published 220 papers in reproduction and fertility, stem cell science, and reform in higher education. He served for 7-10 years each in 5 Universities in the UK, USA and Australia. An international citizen, he led research programs in Kenya, Brazil, India and China. He is a senior adviser to the Australian and other governments, WHO and the OECD. He acknowledges the SRB as an essential part of his career and life-long friendships.
