Dr Lindsay Wu
Lindsay Wu is an NHMRC RD Wright Biomedical Fellow and leader of the Laboratory for Ageing Research at UNSW Australia. He trained as a metabolic biochemist in the Diabetes and Obesity Program of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney, prior to completing a postdoc in cancer metabolism, and starting the Laboratory for Ageing Research at UNSW Australia. His lab focuses on the role of aberrant metabolism in biological ageing, and accelerated ageing from interventions such as chemotherapy. Recently, his lab has been keenly interested in the role of the metabolite nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) in maintaining ovarian health and oocyte quality during old age, and following chemotherapy treatment.
